  Rwanda, À la poursuite des génocidaires recounts the investigative work of Alain and Dafroza Gauthier who have been tracking down Rwandan genocidaires hidden in France for more than 20 years. Dafroza’s relatives were decimated in 1994 while she lived in Reims with her husband and 3 children. The couple quickly realized that the killers had found refuge in France and decided to do everything to ensure justice was done. Several times a year, Alain and Dafroza go to Rwanda to collect evidence and testimonies to open judicial investigations leading, in principle, to trials. But they encounter countless obstacles: the slowness of justice, political hesitation, threats, exhaustion. This album, through their history, allows us to understand not only the course of the genocide, its preparation, its implementation, but also to become aware of French injustice: while it is estimated that between 200 and 400 genocidaires presumed to be living on our soil, France refuses to extradite them to Rwanda while taking years, sometimes decades, to judge them itself.
