  An image is a story. Doomed, from its very beginning, to multiple interpretations. Conceived by primitive man as a means of communication, a carrier of knowledge, a record of history, an element of ritual. In times when words, written or verbalized, have dominated the flow of information, a sequence of images creating a coherent story cannot count on the same popularity as words. In the mass consciousness it is perceived as too primitive, imperfect, imprecise and ambiguous. Too often it is treated more as an element than an independent form. The “primitive” ancestor of words, wild, untamed, requiring thinking, interpretation and engagement of those parts of our minds that in our civilization, overloaded with an ocean of information served “on a platter”, we have unlearned to use.
