  Like a dog, it tells about the artist and his position in the world. The starving man is an artist and people come to watch him give up food. Like any artist, he strives to perfect his practice, except that in his case this has quite different, much more drastic consequences than in most others. Žeželj depicts a brutally tender story in his inimitable technique, sharp as a razor – the characteristic black and white represents an almost perfect image of Kafka’s universe.
